INDIA ENERGY CONGRESS 2015

The 6th edition of India Energy Congress (IEC 2015), was organized by World Energy Council India (WEC India) on the theme “Securing India’s Energy Future: Integration and Action” on 28th-29th January, 2015 in New Delhi. This edition of the Congress is particularly significant, as it marks the beginning of the Congress being a joint event of Ministries of Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy, Petroleum & Natural Gas, External Affairs and Department of Atomic Energy.
For an economy poised for a significant growth, securing India’s Energy Future is a critical dimension. The Congress discussions were aptly centered around the critical issue of “Securing India’s Energy future with focus on ‘Integrated Planning and Coordinated Action’.Energy canvas being vast, the Congress chose select key issues of the sector structured over 7 well laid out sessions. The well researched session-wise background papers prepared in collaboration with support of Knowledge Partner ‘Deloitte’ facilitated focused discussions
Over fifty eminent speakers led the discussions. Over 400 delegates from across the sector were in almost full attendance on both the days of the Congress. The feedback received from delegates were highly encouraging with high rating on coverage of issues and quality of discussions. The outcomes of the Congress could become useful inputs to Integrated Energy Planning and Coordinated action in the country.
