India Energy Congress(IEC), the flagship event of World Energy Council India (WEC India) is a unique and prestigious apex level energy dialogue platform. It was declared a Joint Event of Ministries of Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy, Petroleum & Natural Gas, External Affairs and Department of Atomic Energy w.e.f. 6th edition held in 2015. IEC is a unique platform for national and international decision makers, experts across the energy industry to exchange views and share knowledge, expertise and experience.
India Energy Congress 2015
The 6th edition of India Energy Congress (IEC 2015), was organized by World Energy Council India (WEC India) on the theme “Securing India’s Energy Future: Integration and Action” on 28th-29th January, 2015 in New Delhi. This edition of the Congress is particularly significant, as it marks the beginning of the Congress being a joint event of Ministries of Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy, Petroleum & Natural Gas, External Affairs and Department of Atomic Energy.

The 5th edition of India Energy Congress was held on 7th & 8th February, 2013 in New Delhi on the theme “Securing Tomorrow’s Energy Today: Policy and Regulation”. The Congress looked comprehensively at the issues of Energy Security in the context of Policy and Regulation. Important issues related to Long term energy security, Sustainable sources of energy, Market transformation in energy efficiency, Resource allocation and pricing.

India Energy Congress 2012 was yet another result-oriented event, seeking answers to emerging opportunities in the energy sector. The India Energy Congress looked at emerging opportunities across the sector in a holistic manner. Important issues related to developments in technology, impact on environment, competence & viability, public-private partnership, government policies, available means of funding, etc was discussed and deliberated during this 2-day Congress.
