Interactive Session "India FELs with FEL Global Community"

An interactive session of I-FELS with Global FELs was held on Tuesday, 5th September 2023 during 3.00pm -4.30 pm IST (9.30 am-11.00 am GMT) on digital platform. Young energy professionals from NTPC, POWERGRID, ONGC, HPCL, NHPC, PTC, REC, BHEL, EESL, IREDA, SECI, EIL and WEC India Secretariat participated in the session. About 50 energy professionals from across the sector took part in the meet.

Interactive session of I-FELP members with Global FEL-100

World Energy Council India (WEC India) organized an interactive session of the India Future Energy Leaders (I-FELP members) and the Global FEL-100 community on 8th December 2021. Young leaders from the global FEL community shared perspectives on energy transition in their countries and activities of their respective national FEL program.

Workshop On ‘Energy Analytics & Statistics’

World Energy Council India (WEC India) organized a workshop on ‘Energy Analytics & Statistics’ in association with International Energy Agency (IEA) from 26th-28th February, 2020, at Power Management Institute (PMI), Noida. A team of faculty from IEA, Paris conducted the workshop. Forty professionals drawn from I-FELP and other key stakeholders with representation from NTPC, POWERGRID, NHPC, REC, PTC, BHEL, ONGC, HPCL, EESL, MoSPI and WEC India attended the workshop.

 

The Faculty from IEA was led by Ms Céline Rouquette, Head of Non Member Countries Section, Energy Data Centre and supported by Ms Yasmine Arsalane, Power Sector Modeller – World Energy Outlook and Mr Byungho Jung, Energy Data Officer. The workshop also benefitted from the expertise of Shri Manoj Upadhyay, Sr. Research Officer, NITI Aayog; and Mr Amit Kamal, Deputy Director, MoSPI (Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation). The workshop ended with closing remarks by IEA faculty and Mr Md. Ashfaq, In-charge, WEC India Secretariat followed by award of certificates.

I-FELP members showcase work

I-FELP endeavors to provide ongoing opportunities for young professionals to share knowledge and showcase work. Spread over many days, the young energy professionals showcased their efforts in emerging technology areas such as Hydrogen, RE Integration, Energy Storage and EV Charging Infrastructure. Towards further refining their work, inputs and comments were provided by a review panel.

India Future Energy Leaders’ Program

is a platform by World Energy Council India (WEC India) for young energy professionals initiated with the objective to create an active community of young energy professionals from diverse energy sector backgrounds and facilitate comprehensive understanding of the energy transition and balanced perspective of the fast paced changes happening in the energy sector. At present, I-FELP has over 80 young professionals and 5 mentors with representation from NTPC, NHPC, POWERGRID, REC, PTC, BHEL, ONGC, HPCL and EESL.

 Shri Saptarshi Roy, Director (HR), NTPC launched India Future Energy Leaders’ Program and delivered the inaugural address at the I-FELP Inaugural Event held on 26th April, 2019 at Power Management Institute (PMI), Noida.
