India Pavilion at 26th World Energy Congress, Rotterdam, The Netherlands 22-25 April 2024

India Energy Sector Participated at 26th World Energy Congress held in Rotterdam, Netherlands, from April 22nd to 25th, 2024, under the banner of WEC India. The India Pavilion at WEC served as a hub for showcasing innovative technologies, best practices of energy sector, reinforcing India’s commitment to environmental conservation on the global stage. India delegation to the WEC Rotterdam was led by Secretary (Power) and the Additional Secretary (Power) along with representatives and heads of ONGC, NTPC, PFC, REC, Power Grid, NHPC, IREDA and SECI.

Interactive Session "India FELs with FEL Global Community"- September, 2023

An interactive session of I-FELS with Global FELs was held on Tuesday, 5th September 2023 during 3.00pm -4.30 pm IST (9.30 am-11.00 am GMT) on digital platform. Young energy professionals from NTPC, POWERGRID, ONGC, HPCL, NHPC, PTC, REC, BHEL, EESL, IREDA, SECI, EIL and WEC India Secretariat participated in the session. About 50 energy professionals from across the sector took part in the meet.

NREL Workshop​

  •  A workshop hosted by Power Foundation and conducted by National Renewable Energy Limited (NREL) of U.S Department of Energy on ReEDS (Regional Energy Deployment Model) -India tool was held on 7-9 September 2022.
  • Mr. Ilya Chernyakhovskiy, Grid System Researcher, NREL and Mr. Stuart M Cohen, Energy System Analyst, NREL were the faculty for the workshop. Professionals from NTPC, Powergrid, REC, IREDA, Power Foundation, select I-FELP members and WEC India Secretariat participated in the workshop.
  •  The program imparted conceptual and hands-on training and covered long-term planning for India’s power sector using NREL’s open-access ReEDS India tool.

I-FELP Members Showcase Work

I-FELP endeavors to provide ongoing opportunities for young professionals to share knowledge and showcase work.
Spread over many days, the young energy professionals showcased their efforts in emerging technology areas such as Hydrogen, RE Integration, Energy Storage and EV Charging Infrastructure. Towards further refining their work, inputs and comments were provided by a review panel.
