On 5th July 2024, a meeting was held for Market study for identification of gas based generating assets for peak power supply, with Mr. Ashutosh Shastri, Advisor to Global Gas Centre, Geneva. WEC India along with M/S Deloitte discussed the various aspects of gas-based power generation in India, availability of Natural Gas and its prospects in view of declaration of India to have share of natural gas of 15% in Indian Energy Sector. During the meeting Shri. Subhash Kumar, Ex-CMD, ONGC also thrown light on some critical issues related to Natural Gas business/policies in India
