World Energy Congress
World Energy Congress, the premier international multi-energy forum organized every three years attracts participation from countries at Ministerial level. The Congress is an opportunity for stakeholders to better understand complex & highly interwoven energy issues and solutions from a global perspective. The World Energy Congress provides a platform for Ministers, Secretaries and CEOs from the country for deliberations and engagement with global peers. Mega exhibition held during the Congress is an excellent opportunity to showcase the country’s energy sector. Considering the global nature of energy issues and dynamics involved, Indian energy sector have been significantly utilizing these platforms.
24th World Energy Congress
The 24th World Energy Congress was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 9th-12th September 2019, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE, under the overall theme “Energy for Prosperity”. The Congress welcomed more than 15,000 participants including 72 Ministers, 250 high-level speakers, 500 CEOs, 1000 media persons and the featured a mega exhibition held in a 40,000 square-metre space
The Congress witnessed impressive Indian presence through participation of a strong high level delegation, India Pavilion of 242 sqm; and speaker engagements in important Congress sessions, World Energy Leaders’ Summit (WELS) exclusive Roundtables, high profile side events such as World Economic Forum and Clean Energy Ministerial.
Day 1: New Vision of Energy Prosperity
The 24th World energy Congress opened on 9th September 2019 with the daily theme of new visions of energy for prosperity.

The 22nd World Energy Congress-2013
The 22nd World Energy Congress was held in Daegu, Korea (Rep. of) from 13-17 October 2013. The theme of the Congress was “Securing Tomorrow’s Energy Today.” The Congress in Daegu attracted over 7,500 delegates from 123 countries and included more than 50 government ministers.
